Escazu (San Antonio) (228-1850)  -  I hear it’s simple but GOOD (THANX Joaquin). 
HOURS:  Tues.-Sat. noon-11pm.  Sun. noon-7pm.
LOCATION:  100 mts. East/Este & 50 mts. South/Sur of del Cruce (the cross) de San Antonio and Barrio El Carmen

Casa Luisa 
San Jose (Sabana Sur) (296-1917)
Excellent (albeit expensive) SPANISH food like TASTY lamb, paella, ham, filet minion, corvina, TAPAS like gambas (shrimp) and boquerones (anchovies).  Dine ALFRESCO on the back patio.  GOOD service!  
HOURS:  Mon.-Sat. noon-3pm & 6-11pm. 
LOCATION: 400 m south y 50 m al east of la Contralorn a General de la Republica (the Pyramid building) .  

Marbella Restaurant
San Pedro (224-9452) 
Tasty dishes like GAZPACHO; paella;  “The Special One” – baby lamb prepared with sweet peppers; Serrano Ham;  OWNER:  Emilio Machado (from Madrid). 
HOURS:  Tues.-Sun.
LOCATION:  Commercial Center Calle Real

La Tasca del Novillo
Pozos de Santa Ana (282-3042)
Typical SPANISH dishes.  ALFRESCO/outside patio area, PLAY AREA for kids.
LOCATION:  Plaza Lindora – next to Novillo Alegre
